Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup sugar (boil in 1 cup water, add 1/2 tsp food color and keep aside)
- 1/2 tsp ilaichi powder
- 1 tbsp kishmish
- 1 tbsp chopped coconut
- 1/2 pinch salt
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
Tip: For best results, use measuring utensils.
Method
- In a saucepan, add oil, ilaichi powder and fry a little making sure not to burn it. Add the sugar mixed in water and food color, almonds, coconut, kishmish, salt and rice. Mix it well. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer till the water dries (about 15 minutes). Turn off the heat and serve hot.
